About Tyrina
Tyrina Van Emmerik is a faith-based life coach certified through the Faith-Based Life Coaching
Academy (FLCA). She is a full-time student attending Brigham Young University-Idaho majoring
in Industrial and Organizational Psychology. She is fluent in Japanese – the language of a
people and land she learned to love while serving a full-time mission for her church.
Tyrina has experienced and overcome many types of addiction and abuse in her life and uses
these experiences to teach the principles found in Isaiah 61:3, “Beauty for Ashes.” As she
strives to live and teach these principles, she has seen them transform her life and the lives of
others as Christ turns the hardest trials into the greatest victories.
Tyrina has published a book of original poetry on faith: Blossom – Poetry to Grow Faith. She
loves and enjoys spending time with her children and their spouses and serving in her church
and the community. Her greatest desire is to be an instrument in helping and assisting others to
find joy and peace in this life through the Savior Jesus Christ.
